Should I buy GTA 6 physical or digital?
OFFICIALPhysical is a download code in a box from November 12. Digital pre-loads the same week. Neither plays early.
The boxed edition contains a download code, not a disc of the campaign. It is available from November 12, 2026 so the code can be redeemed in time to pre-load for November 19.
Digital pre-orders begin pre-loading on the same November 12 date. The difference is logistics: a storefront queue versus a cardboard voucher.
You still need the same free space either way. A box does not shrink the download. Use the storage calculator and leave headroom.
Digital pre-orders include one month of GTA+ per official language. Confirm your physical tile if that perk matters to you.
Collectors who want a box on a shelf are buying packaging and a code. That is allowed. It is not a Blu-ray of Leonida.
