Rockstar Games released the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, introducing Lucia and Jason and a modern Vice City inside the state of Leonida. Record-setting YouTube premiere.
Second official trailer. Further Leonida footage, dual-protagonist framing, and a then-stated 2025 window that was later moved.
Rockstar and Take-Two shifted the launch out of calendar 2025, later pointing at a May 2026 window, citing the time needed to finish the game to their standard.
The May 2026 target was moved. Rockstar subsequently locked Thursday, November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Pre-orders opened at midnight local time. Standard $79.99, Ultimate $99.99. Vintage Vice City Pack attached to purchases before November 20, 2026. Digital pre-orders include one month of GTA+.
26-minute in-game presentation. Netflix exclusive from 3:00 p.m. ET for six hours; YouTube at 9:00 p.m. ET. Captured on PlayStation 5.
Rockstar added a large batch of 4K stills covering Jason, Lucia, Vice City, Ambrosia, Grassrivers, the Leonida Keys and Port Gellhorn.
Digital pre-orders can begin pre-loading. Physical edition (download code in the box, no disc) is available to support pre-load.
Grand Theft Auto VI unlocks on PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. Single-player experience at launch. No last-gen. No confirmed PC date.
Rockstar has not announced a PC date. Historical pattern (GTA V, RDR2) is a later PC port, often on the order of a year. This site labels every PC date EXPECTED until an official listing exists.
Rockstar historically floods the last 4–6 weeks. Not confirmed for VI. We will recategorize the moment a buy airs.
Expected marketing beat, not a scheduled Rockstar event. Do not treat preview embargo dates as launch facts.
