Physical GTA VI is a download code in a box
OFFICIALRockstar confirmed the boxed edition has no disc. It exists so retail buyers can still pre-load from November 12.
The physical edition of Grand Theft Auto VI contains a download code, not an optical disc. Rockstar’s language is explicit. The box is available from November 12, 2026 so that code can be redeemed in time for the November 19 unlock.
Plan storage around a full digital install either way. File size is not listed as a final number on every storefront at time of writing; we track listings on the file-size FAQ and never invent a GB figure.
